I started the British Avgeek YouTube channel around August 2020 after being injured at work and finding myself at home with little to do. Microsoft Flight Simulator was released and it re-ignited my passion for flight simulation at home! Initially I joined the flybywire team as a QA Tester and enjoyed testing multiple updates every day from the beginning of the project, and spent a year actively testing for them to help improve the fantastic A32NX the community really enjoy.

The real flying bug never goes away though! Many years ago, I was an instructor in the RAF Air Cadets at a basic level, flying short 30 minute sorties in the Grob Vigilant T1 Motor Glider. It was an incredible aircraft and really enjoyable to spend well over 5 years flying it. I flew at Coventry for a little while too towards my PPL in a Piper PA28 but had to stop due to financial issues and being over-committed with the Air Cadet flying. Many years passed however and I always regretted not sticking with it.

No matter what your age, if you're looking to get into flying and you already enjoy flight simulation at home - go for it, and stick at it! It's a passion that will never fade away.
