We've enjoyed a number of bespoke channel-related liveries for some time and the expansion of the liveries has inspired a few to ask "why not make a virtual airline?" - a great suggestion!
Whilst I didn't want to create a new Virtual Airline (afterall, I along with many others enjoy FlyUK.aero) I did want to create some kind of Airline Operation where we could all log flights together across different simulators and have that incentive to fly well, and land well too - especially when we fly together during live streams too!
FSHub allows us to do exactly that. It is a simple, free program which runs alongside the freeware Landing Rate Monitor and runs in the background. Over time, the program has developed to include an EFB tab via a browser, a "Radar" to see where others are flying with it in the world and some bespoke announcements (like clapping in the cabin, when you butter those landings). It does require FSUIPC7 but if you download everything below, you can join and log your flights too as an Osprey Airways Pilot!
Every complete flight report will be pinged into an Osprey Operations channel within our Discord Server for us all to enjoy too thanks to a webhook! Ultimately, it's a way to bring us all together a little more, compete for some buttery smooth landings and just have a laugh with it!
Callsign: Osprey
ICAO Code: BVX | IATA Code: 8A
Click the button below and head to the FSHub website to set a free account up, and then join the Airline too. Each application needs manually approving so don't worry if there's a delay in that - I get an email every time a new Pilot requests to join!
FSUIPC7 - either the Payware Version or the Freeware Version is required for FSHub to work. You can purchase the payware version via SimMarket or download the free one by clicking the link below (link obtained from the MSFS fficial Forum)
This program monitors your flight progress, and can also play additional cabin sounds amongst numerous other things. It can display your landing rating on the screen upon touchdown and feeds the data in to FSHub for your Osprey Airways career!
Once installed, link LRM to FSHub via the Preferences Menu, enable the Virtual Operator function and re-sync the program's front page to then see Osprey Airways in the list. If it says Connected in green at the bottom, it'll record your flight!
Head to our Liveries Page on the website here to find all the available liveries we have on offer all free to download, and created by various people across the community. We have a varied fleet with stunning liveries for both Microsoft Flight Simulator and also X-Plane in their own dedicated Liveries pages on the site. The VMR file is for MSFS users and tries to encompass the X-Plane liveries to the nearest match.
