The Airbus A350 - one of the worlds most modern, state-of-the-art twin aisle long haul jets and by far the best looking on the ground and in the air too! This tutorial series aims to get YOU comfortable with the key features, and the basics in order to complete a flight from A to B without issue. Enjoy!
Key to success, the OIS/EFB in the A350 is where we begin
Next up in Episode 2, we get the jet ready from a cold start, prep the flight plan and get those engines fired up!
As it says above, we taxi, complete a safe and smooth takeoff and then work up to cruise for today's flight
In episode 4, we dive into some need-to-knows including holds, and the use of Brake to Vacate - the A350's signature move!
Episode 5 sees us make our descent with the use of vectors to cover moments where issues (like bad nav data) throw themselves at us, all followed by an ILS approach
Supremely important for flights on VATSIM/IVAO - we need to know how to set up the aircraft to fly holds. This is the primary topic for this episode.
When things become unstable on approach, or traffic ahead takes too long to clear the runway we need to go around and sequence back for another go. In episode 7, we tackle that with ease WITH VATSIM ATC comms throughout too!
Weather pretty horrible and flying an approach into proper Pea Soup? Autoland will have your back! Here's how...
The ninth video covers use of Datalink / HOPPIE connection to the iniBuilds A350 with a short how-to
I've created the following easy to use PDF guides for a few key areas on VATSIM. Use them in conjunction with my tutorial videos and you'll be navigating the skies with ease in no time!
